The latest round of updates for the StoneShot for Salesforce app are now available. Here’s a bit more about them.

Custom contact field mapping

One of the key updates is the ability to create custom mapping of Salesforce contact fields to StoneShot contact fields. This ensures that all aspects of your important contact data are kept up to date. As well as mapping standard contact fields, custom contact fields can also be mapped allowing for complete customisation.

Mappings are defined within the Settings page of the StoneShot for Salesforce app and, when saved, are then picked up when pushing lists to StoneShot via the Push Members to StoneShot button on the Salesforce campaign.

Note: if these mappings are not defined then the following default set of fields will be included in the push.

  • Email
  • Salutation
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Account Name (Company)

Additional event management tools

We’ve made some improvements to the event management tools too. Previously you would have to go into the Contact or Lead record to add them to a session (or change their status). This can now all be done without having to leave the Event tab.

Any Contacts added or Contact status changes made in the Session in Salesforce will then be pushed immediately to your StoneShot database, providing the sync options are active.

StoneShot Importer

Getting contacts into StoneShot is now even easier. The StoneShot Importer tab provides a simple method of importing contacts into StoneShot by displaying a list of Salesforce reports for the user to select, map and then import.

First select a Salesforce report. Reports will only be listed if they are in the ‘StoneShot’ report folder.

Next you need to set the field mapping, determining how the Salesforce fields are mapped to the StoneShot fields. Only fields included in the selected report will be available for import.

Finally, clicking ‘Import’ will then queue the import in StoneShot creating a StoneShot list on completion.

Note: in order to use the StoneShot Importer, you will need to authenticate your Salesforce user account within StoneShot. This can be done by logging into StoneShot and navigating to the Integrations page. The StoneShot Importer removes the need for using the ‘Connector’ tab.
