In the age of the smartphone we have previously reported on the importance of your online presence (including emails) being responsive and working perfectly on whichever device you view them on.
Google have now taken a step further and from next month will be actively distinguishing between those websites that are mobile-friendly and those that aren’t (when you search from a mobile device, desktop searches remain the same).
This means that sites will be ranked according to their mobile-friendliness and this will impact Google’s mobile search results. The justification being that this provides a better user experience from the king of search engines.
